TRP – TIN Recovery Plant

Our unique tin recovery plant enables the recovery of tin from printed circuit boards and electronic waste. Using a patented chemical process, the tin is separated from the circuit boards and recovered with a purity of 94%.

Tin is not a mass metal, but it is a highly strategic raw material – and can be found in every printed circuit board. Our TRP reliably recovers it.
With the TRP, you can recover up to 94% of the tin contained in PCBs – pure, reliable and economical. With around 25 to 30 kg of tin per tonne of PCB scrap, this means that if you don’t recycle, you’re throwing money away.

Up to 94 % recovery of tin from printed circuit boards

Every tonne of printed circuit boards contains an average of 25 to 30 kg of tin – e.g. as solder. The TRP system recovers up to 94% of this, i.e. up to 28 kg per tonne – as a high-quality, dry powder for further processing or refinement.

Resource-saving cycle thanks to multiple use of the solution

The leaching liquid can be used in up to 6 cycles. The washing water and the amount of zinc are also intelligently minimized.

Compact, flexible system for pilot operation or series production

The modular design with 4 to 10 m³ reactors, press filter, dryer and melting furnace allows compact installation – ideal for R&D, export or decentralized operation.

Horror scenario

Imagine this: Your printed circuit boards are shredded, melted down or exported as a mixed metal fraction – without selective recovery of the tin. The problem is that your customers or buyers do not take the tin into account because it either disappears in the slag or remains chemically bound.
This means that you are giving away up to 28 kg of tin per tonne of printed circuit boards – at current prices, this means a loss of several hundred euros per tonne. Extrapolated to your annual quantity, this quickly amounts to five to six-figure sums that are literally lost in the process chain.
Without the TRP, you don’t just lose material – you lose yield, margin and entrepreneurial control.

  • Utilize up to 94 % of the tin contained in your printed circuit boards.
  • Reduce your chemical costs through closed process control.
  • Integrate a system that is economical, compact and CE-compliant.

Rely on TRP from ARPE – for strategic recovery without losses.

ARPE TRP – because 28 kg per tonne is not a small amount, but hard cash.
