SPR – Solar Panel Recycling

With SPR systems, used solar panels can be recycled in a way that conserves resources. The technology enables precise separation of glass, silicon, metal frames and electronics – for a closed material cycle in the PV sector.

At ARPE, end-of-life solar modules do not disappear into the shadows, but are sustainably returned to the material cycle!
Our SPR system is the modern solution for recycling photovoltaic modules. It separates glass, aluminum and electronics with high precision – economically, safely and sustainably.

Separation of valuable materials such as glass, aluminum and electronics

The SPR system recovers over 95% of the glass and up to 98% of the aluminum frame – ideal for reuse or direct marketing.

Pollutant-safe treatment of backsheets and semiconductors

The system takes critical components such as cadmium telluride (CdTe) or EVA films into account and offers low-emission separation processes with optional extraction and filter stages.

Future-proof for increasing volumes and new module generations

The SPR has a modular design and can be adapted to new module types such as bifacial panels or heterojunction cells.

Why do you need a modern recycling plant for solar panels?

Imagine this: Your take-back obligation is increasing, the storage area is filling up with PV modules, but you have no solution for the increasing flow of disused panels.
Valuable raw materials are being lost, pollutants are entering the material flow in an uncontrolled manner – and the recycling law is tightening the thumbscrews.
Without a modern SPR solution, you face economic losses, reputational risks and regulatory pressure.

  • Recycle PV modules efficiently, safely and economically.
  • Recover aluminum, glass and semiconductor materials in a targeted manner.
  • Prepare for new technologies and increasing volumes.
