FPP – Flat Panel Process

The FPP system specializes in the environmentally friendly recycling of flat screens (TVs & monitors). It ensures the safe removal of hazardous substances such as mercury and enables high-quality separation of plastics, metals and glass.

The FPP system from ARPE is your complete solution for the environmentally friendly recycling of LCD, LED and plasma displays – including the safe removal of mercury-containing CCFL tubes and intelligent material separation.

Automated removal of hazardous components

Our flat panel process cuts both edges of the panels fully automatically, enabling the safe removal of CCFL backlighting – with minimal mercury emissions of just 0.010 mg/m³ in the exhaust air.

High throughput with minimal space requirements

Up to 100 flat screens per hour for small formats, 80 for large formats, can be processed on a footprint of only approx. 9×7 m. Panels up to 2,000× 1,400 mm and 60 kg in weight are safely guided and cut open.

Ideal preparation for unmixed manual material separation

The FPP prepares the panel so that employees can separate the individual materials – PMMA, foils, metals, blanks, plastics – by hand in a structured, safe and efficient manner.

Why is an automated solution for recycling flat screens important?

Imagine this: Flat screens are opened with a hammer and cutter, CCFL tubes burst, mercury spreads around the room, plastic dust flies – and the environmental inspector just happens to be at the door.
Without an FPP, you not only risk the health of your workforce, but also fines, loss of image and a lack of recycling.

  • Recycle flat screens automatically, safely and in compliance with regulations.
  • Get more recyclable materials from less space – with full process reliability.
  • Protect people, the environment and your company’s reputation with proven technology.
